ADULT LEARNING

St. Stephen’s is committed to providing quality, Christian education for all ages, including adults. The Search Institute has identified that 30 hours a year of adult learning, beyond worship, keeps faith renewed and growing.

Sunday Mornings - From 9:40 to 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning, in the lounge, an opportunity for learning is presented. These topics have a wide variety of themes from Biblical, social to historical. A variety of formats are used from lecture, videos and guest presenters. One of our most important goals is to always include time for discussion.
    April/May Schedule:
April 23 - Internet Security:  How can you keep your family safe as they access
            the world wide web
April 30 & May 7 - Holocaust Survivors:  Sabina Zimering and Dr. Robert Fisch
            will speak of their experiences

Evenings - Most weeks of the year an evening program for fellowship and learning is offered. Often they are happily preceded by dinner and or desert! The topics vary and have included Alpha, Bible study, grief groups, and special video series. The next study will be "Fireside Chat at the Fire Ring: A study of John 1,2,& 3" For more information, click here.

Via de Cristo (Lutheran Crucillo) - We have an active group of participants in this remarkable retreat movement. Sponsored in local congregations, staffed by hundreds of volunteers (both lay and clergy) this retreat is a reminder/review of the basics of Christian faith. It has really served to ignite the faith of those who attend. For information about the next Via de Cristo weekend click here or contact the church office.
